My October Bubble
I would have wanted to call it Oktoberfest, but it was far from it. Once again, I shall random my points in no particular order. I’m going to jog my memory and squeeze what I recall.
1. I travelled 1423km in October. This is me, alone, driving
2. I easily travelled another 500km sitting in another vechicle.
3. I had to do selling in Pangkor Island which required me to rent a motorcycle and make my way around the island. On one hand looking at my pda from time to time and the other holding on to the helmet. When I feel good, I just lift my hands up in the air, only on flat ground. It was one experience I’ll never forget!
4. I have seen many many temples of different religions in the north. Very steep in their beliefs. I have come to believe that religion today in the urban cities are very well packaged. Even the Gods look groomed and smiling. What I had to see was really far from it.
5. I went back to KL 3 times – once driving and the other two flying. Exhausting indeed.
6. I journeyed through Walk His Trail for its final leg which deserves an entry on its own.
7. My shoulder has shifted damage control to my left leaving me 3 injections once again, this time, on my left side. Now, I even get a love letter saying that I am not allowed to carry anything heavy for 6 months. Time to pick up a good book yea?
8. My diet is poor up north. Breakfast – rice; Lunch – rice; Dinner – rojak. This is rice with a lot of curry and I say a lot of curry. That’s all I have been consuming, heaps of masakan melayu. Meal times are even better, first meal: 10am. Next meal? If you’re lucky – 2pm, if you’re not 5-6pm. So don’t blame me for my irregular mood swings, you know how I am without my makan.
9. I have worked daily rain or shine, same shit everyday. Lesson? Perseverance is key. I’m sure one day it’ll pay off. I have sweated till in between my legs were wet. I have gotten drenched till I was good enough to be a waterfall.
10. With this, I have a new found love for taking a shower.
11. I now get my laundry done at a nearby store. The owner thinks I’m a doctor because my housemate is. She went, “And you’re doctor…?”. How could I break her expection, I simply replied in confidence, “Dr Ee…*ahem*…Dr Ee”. All worth it paying for clothes and someone calling you a doctor from time to time. Yes, I need some cheap thrills myself.
12. My debut TVC ad was featured and I never saw it. At least that is done for my checklist.
13. I was averaging 5-6 hours a sleep during this month.
14. I was not bothered about msn, email, friendster or anything with a screen. I just wanted to something big and square enough for me to sleep. I fell in love with my bed.
15. I know now, what it means to live off a suitcase. You don’t need to travel abroad to do it. It comes with an offer package domestically. I’ll introduce you
16. I have visited dodgy karaoke bars in oil palm estates which is I can only say is unsightly. GRO girls were present that the only way I’ll describe them are fruit sizes. Some were pear shape and some were oranges. Some, lucky for me, there were even rambutans. They had hair coming out of them from places I rather not remember.
17. I roomed with my sales executive in Sitiawan where I can safely say must be one of the most dodgy hotels ever. Having different beds did not limit me from hearing him pass motion in heaviness in the toilets.
18. I have yet to wash my car since I came.
19. I managed to watch one dvd, Domino.
20. I also realized that Sales is not for me. The exercise of physical intention could be well spent on other areas. I want a job that is mentally stimulating for me. By the end of this stint, I would know.
